Maghull Town Council has been vindicated in its actions following the decision made by the Planning Inspector in relation to the proposed development of land for housing to the east of Maghull. Representing local residents concerns at planning hearings has resulted in the development being approved but developers having to abide by strict conditions contained within the planning inspector’s decision.
The key findings of the Planning Inspectors decision mean that :-
- No HGV traffic will be allowed to travel through residential areas of the town to the site
- Detailed management and maintenance plan for long term flood mitigation has to be provided
- Consideration to nature conservation and the local environment is made explicit
