Cllr Chloe Parker Leader of Maghull Town Council visited the Town Hall today and stated: –
‘ The officers have been working incredibly hard to make sure our usual level of service can be established despite the fire. I am delighted that Maghull FC have been able to support us with the Cosy Club which will re-open on Monday. Our Scout group have also been supported in finding a home.
Cllr Mason and I have been into the building today and would like to reassure residents that the large wooden boards displaying the winners of our civic awards are absolutely fine.
I would plea to those using the leisure centre to make sure they only use designated bays for parking. We will shortly have large vehicles visiting the site, it is imperative they have access. If access problems cause delays this will only result in additional costs and delays to progress.’
MTC would like to thank everyone from the community who have offered support and kind words of encouragement as we start to bounce back from this serious incident. Please keep an eye on our website and social media for further updates.
