By-Election to fill a vacancy on West Ward

UPDATED NOTICE

 

A by-election will be held on Thursday 20 February 2025 to fill a vacancy on the west ward of the Town Council.

No official poll cards will be issued to local government electors at this by-election.

There will be two polling stations, which will be open from 7.00am to 10.00pm on the day of the by-election.  They will be situated at:

  1. St James Church Hall, Green Lane, Maghull, L31 8BW
  2. Maghull Cricket Club, Tommy Gent Way, Hall Lane, Maghull, L31 3DY

New applications to register to vote must be made by midnight on Tuesday 4 February 2025 Applications can be made online https://www.gov.uk/register-to-vote

New applications to postal votes must be made by 5.00pm on Wednesday 5 February 2025. Applications can be made online: https://www.gov.uk/apply-postal-vote

 

Applications for a Voter Authority Certificate must be made by 5.00pm on

Wednesday 12 February 2025. Applications for a Voter Authority Certificate can

be made online: www.gov.uk/apply-for-photo-id-voter-authority-certificate

Every person voting in person at a polling station must produce a valid form of photographic ID before they can be issued with a ballot paper.  A full list of acceptable photographic ID can be found at https://www.sefton.gov.uk/voterid
